Ciara Durant is a passionate hockey writer and contributor for Octopus Thrower. She began writing about hockey in 2018 and has served as a site expert at Pucks of a Feather and contributor for Pacific Northwest Sports (covering the Seattle Kraken). Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Ciara’s love for hockey was sparked by the Seattle Thunderbirds and Everett Silvertips, but it wasn’t until 2013, when she began following the Anaheim Ducks, that her passion truly flourished. Now living in the desert, Ciara focuses on storytelling rather than stats, sharing her love for the game through engaging narratives.
