The Detroit Red Wings off-season is going to be a very busy one. With 11 players being free agents, there will be a lot of moving parts as Steve Yzerman continues to work his magic with this team.
The Detroit Red Wings are coming off a dissapointing season this past year. Now, to be incredibly fair, the Red Wings are in what I consider- the toughest division in hockey. With Tampa Bay, Toronto, Florida, and Boston, it would’ve taken a miracle for them to make the playoffs little lone while still in rebuild mode.
This past season, the Red Wings showed signs of growth from a talent perspective, but it was clear that there needed to be some adjustments made. Particullarly with their defenseman group and goalie room.
Many people do not like the fact that they don’t have an established top-2 left-handed defenseman alongside Moritz Seider. I agree with that. Furthermore, I don’t think that Thomas Greiss and Alex Nedeljkovic as your goalie tandem was a smart move. I think that you can 100% improve upon that. So, with all of this being said, it araises the question:
Given the change in coaching, and all the free agents that the Red Wings have, who are some players that we shouldn’t expect to see back in Detroit come next season?
