Detroit Red Wings fans are probably dealing with fatigue over the Dylan Larkin trade saga. It's been over a month since the captain decided that after 11 years with the team, he wants to play elsewhere. The thing is, Larkin only initially gave the Red Wings three teams he'd accept a trade to — the Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Wild, and Florida Panthers. Neither of those teams have made a strong enough offer for Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman to get him to trade Larkin to them.

There was a new update this week, with Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reporting that Larkin has not expanded his trade list weeks after Yzerman's request. Well, Larkin has expanded his trade list, but by just one team.

Ansar Khan of M Live reports that Larkin added the Dallas Stars to his trade wishlist. The Red Wings and Stars have engaged in trade talks, according to Khan, but they did not get off to the best start in terms of actual progress being made towards a deal.

Khan reports that during trade conversations, the Red Wings asked for young Stars center Wyatt Johnston in return in a potential trade. Khan says there "was no chance of that happening."

Additionally, Khan reports that the Stars offered Jason Robertson, star winger who is currently a restricted free agent, as part of the deal. However, Robertson would have to approve of a trade to a team where he'd be willing to sign a long-term contract extension, and Khan says it's unknown if he would do so with the Red Wings. Plus, Khan says it's not known if the Red Wings would even want to offer him a $15 million per year type of contract.

So, even with the Stars entering the fray, there is no guarantee that a trade will even happen, considering this new reporting.

Yzerman said after the NHL Draft that although Larkin put in the trade request, he doesn't have to fulfill it. The general manager obviously has a high asking price for his team captain and top center. That's why he is looking for the likes of Johnston from the Stars or Matt Boldy from the Wild. Those are virtual non-starters from the interested teams. Yzerman has his price point set and if teams don't match it, he's not going to trade Larkin.

For those fans that were hoping for some sort of progress on a Larkin trade just so they don't have to hear about it any further, that still hasn't happened yet. But there is one total new addition to Larkin's trade list! So ... there's that.
