The Detroit Red Wings are seeing forward Robby Fabbri come alive. After missing time at the beginning of the year, the veteran forward has started to score and score in bunches, for that matter. He’s been on fire as of late.
The Detroit Red Wings should be thrilled with how well things are going for him. He’s been able to get the job done and often find the back of the net for Detroit. Fabbri has been on a scoring tear, finding ways to get it done over the last five games or so.
Since just after Thanksgiving, Fabbri has logged six points, including four goals, over the Red Wings’ last five games. Fabbri has been able to come alive, being the player that the Red Wings have seen from time to time when he can stay healthy.
It’s great to see this kind of performance from Fabbri, who already had to miss some time this season with an injury. But he seems to be making the most of his time back in the saddle, getting back to his usual self and even finding ways to score game in and game out.
Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri is off to a red-hot start.
The 27-year-old forward has arguably been one of the best trades that Steve Yzerman has pulled off in his time with Detroit. Injury history or not, Fabbri has often been quite good when he can stay healthy, finding ways to be a part of this Red Wings offense.
In 2023-24, Fabbri has played in 12 games with eight goals and three assists for 11 total points. The six-point tear that he is on has doubled his season total and then some, with how well he has been playing.
It’s good to see this type of fire under Fabbri, who’s now performing around a point per game, which is huge for the Red Wings organization. If he can sustain a good performance as things continue, it will only help Detroit, and they should be really happy.
Plus, the Red Wings should be getting Patrick Kane into the lineup soon, which only adds another piece of offense into the mix. Kane will eat up a top-six forward spot, and with how well Fabbri has been playing, it will be hard to justify booting him down a line to open up space.
Fabbri’s red-hot stretch over the last five games is solid and going to help Detroit find ways to maximize their offense. Plus, with Kane coming into play, it adds depth in a way, being able to rely on scoring from multiple sources.
