The Red Wings tweeted out their roster in a graphic on Thursday, giving fans a sneak peek at who will be heading north to Traverse City for prospect camp. They also announced the schedule as part of a press release on the Red Wings website.
A litany of names on the training camp roster should leave fans excited, especially with a couple of players looking to prove they can hang at the NHL level and possibly even make the jump to the NHL during the 2023-24 season.

The team’s class of prospects who litter the training camp roster should excite fans. Looking at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, some draftees are represented on the 2023-24 training camp roster.
Nate Danielson was drafted with the team’s first-round pick, but Andrew Gibson (second-round) and Emmitt Finnie (seventh-round) also made the cut. It will be interesting to see how their newly drafted players fare in their first go-round with the organization at prospect camp.
On top of that, Elmer Söderblom, who already made his NHL debut, is set to participate in prospect camp as he looks to prove he deserves bottom-six minutes and a chance to stick with the NHL roster if the opportunity allows.
The eighth-overall pick from the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Marco Kasper, will also be at camp. He may have made his debut already, logging a game during the 2022-23 NHL season with the Red Wings. But he’ll look to prove that he is healthy and back to 100% after a knee injury ended his season early.
As training camp continues getting closer, the Red Wings have to be excited about what’s to come. The fans should be excited as they will see these prospects participate in the Prospect Camp tournament that runs September 14th through 17th in Traverse City.
