As part of our continuing “Getting to know your Detroit Red Wings” series, we learn more about forward Robby Fabbri.

The publicity around Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri continues.

Us at FanSided Octopus Thrower, as well as Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, MLive and NBC Sports, have written about the forward in recent weeks as his pending restricted free agency looming.

Then he was nominated for the Masterton Trophy Tuesday by the Detroit Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association. The award is tied to the NHL player who shows qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication, per the above Detroit News article above.

As someone coming off two knee injuries at a young age, Fabbri certainly qualifies following the season he had with Detroit, which included 14 goals and 17 assists in a shortened season with the team.

You likely knew all of this about him though. What about off the ice? Fabbri has been busy there, too with news that he got engaged to then-girlfriend now fiancée Kassandra Marchioni last week. The Red Wings shared the announcement here.

If anything, writing this series has taught me I need to be a hockey player, and I don’t think my NHL 20 Be a Pro journey with the New York Rangers will do it (love a good plug; you guys really should follow along).

Anyways, between Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha and Fabbri, their significant others are easy on the eyes.

With the long layoff, Fabbri has been stationed in his Toronto condo with Kassandra. Like many of us, he’s had to improvise by converting his spare bedroom into a gym. I for one, now know how to workout without weights.

During a normal offseason, you might see Fabbri traveling. Seems he likes drinking Corona beer, too. With all the traveling and busy hockey schedule, he might need a dog sitter to his two French bulldogs. Anyone want to volunteer? I know I wouldn’t mind it.

From our research, he doesn’t have social media channels so Kassandra is your best look at the inside scoop!
