It’s getting down to the nitty gritty for the Detroit Red Wings season. They have four games left on the schedule, including today’s contest against the Penguins. They had a hard-fought game against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. They battled back from multiple deficits, forced overtime, and held on after the Sabres grabbed hold of the momentum.

Ultimately, the Detroit Red Wings could not close things out in the shootout. The Red Wings were also officially eliminated from postseason contention for the 2022-23 season. Not that this shocked anyone, but it was made official. The team is unlikely to improve their standing in the Connor Bedard lottery odds, but they will be fine with a stacked first round.

So with four games left on the schedule, the Red Wings should focus on executing well and finishing the season on a high note. At this point, the Red Wings will not see much change in draft lottery odds, so the folks are saying, ” Pack it in,” stop it.

There are less than a handful of games left; the Red Wings will face off with some contenders, and it would be great to see the Red Wings finish the season in the win column against some teams who will compete for the Cup.

Detroit Red Wings game information and prediction vs. Penguins.

The Red Wings faced off against the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 28th and were able to come away with a 7-4 win over Pittsburgh. David Perron supplied a hat trick to help the efforts. The Red Wings must look for another big game against Pittsburgh to finish strong.

On the Puck Line, the Red Wings are +1.5 with a -170 payout. The Penguins are -1.5 with a +145 payout. The over/under is set at 6.5. Prediction: I like the Red Wings in this one. Keeping it short and sweet. The Red Wings are in a good position to come out on top and come away with a win. I think the Red Wings will take it to the Penguins and find a way to keep the offense buzzing once again—just more of a hunch than any fact-based opinion.

The team’s offense has been working lately, and after six goals against the Sabres, they may go dry, but I just have a feeling that the Red Wings will come out and score once again. Lucas Raymond had a stellar game against the Sabres, and I think he can do it again against Pittsburgh.
