Detroit Red Wings vs. Bruins Game 65 Preview, Prediction, Odds
The Detroit Red Wings are inching closer and closer to their back-to-back set against the Boston Bruins. They play in a home-and-home with the Bruins that kicks off in Boston on Saturday. The Red Wings will head to TD Garden to take on the Bruins and then turn around and face them on home ice at Little Caesar’s on Sunday.
It will be a bit of a buzzkill for the Detroit Red Wings, who just recently got back in the win column with a 4-3 defeat of the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night. It was good for them to snap a six-game losing streak that seemed to be a real shift of momentum for the Red Wings.
But the Red Wings could be in for a rough couple of days of hockey once again. Not to mention, the Red Wings faithful will have to watch Tyler Bertuzzi skate around with that horrid “B” embroidered on his chest as he faces off against his former friends after his trade deadline deal to Boston.
It will be a tough thing to see for sure, but the Bruins’ offense is tough to keep quiet with solid goaltending to back it up. It will be hard to see the Red Wings coming out of these two games with a win, but crazier things have certainly happened.
Detroit Red Wings game information and prediction vs. Bruins
Keeping the perfection line of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and David Pastrnak quiet is no easy task. But the Red Wings will not pace their way through the rest of the year. They are doing what they can to keep competing and trying to stay in games.
Going through the motions is not going to fly with head coach Derek Lalonde who wants to make sure his players will go out and give 100% to try and keep competing and putting themselves in a good spot to come back out in 2023-24 and play competitive hockey.
The Bruins have won nine of their last ten, so it’s certainly going to be an all-hands-on-deck weekend for the Red Wings as they try to sneak away a win from a Stanley cup contender.

Odds: According to DraftKings, the Boston Bruins are the favorite with a -330 payout on the Moneyline. The Red Wings have a +275 payout on the Moneyline. Prediction: Trying to take on the Bruins and win is going to be a tough one, no matter what. It’s not going to be easy at all. The Red Wings are going to be fighting an uphill battle from the get-go. Therefore, I’m staying away from the Red Wings in this game all day. Bruins Moneyline and/or Bruins -1.5 is the safe play to me.
