This is a bit of a mismatch on paper. The Red Wings are 2-9 in their last 11 games while the Lightning are 5-1 in their last six. That being said, I’m not here to bet against Detroit, so let’s look to the total instead for value.
Tampa Bay has an elite defense, surrendering two or fewer goals in each of those five wings. The Red Wings, meanwhile, have two or fewer goals in four of their last six matchups. It’s no wonder, then, that the under is 4-1 in the Lightning’s previous five games and 6-2-1 in Detroit’s last nine.
