Red Wings prospects with potential

Amadeus Lombardi

A 2022 4th-round draft choice, and he was inconsistent. There were sparks of creativity, vision, and a true dynamic streak. Yet, there were times he was chasing the puck and out of position.

Trenton Bliss

He was a solid and responsible player. Likely an AHL depth player, but he looked like he belonged among these top prospects.

Mitchell Martin

He scored a breakaway goal and was a physical presence, especially against the Maple Leafs.

Sebastian Cossa

The first-round selection net minder received a lot of criticism about his performances in the World Juniors and other junior showcases, but the athleticism is incredible. He only played two half-games but showed big-time talent.

He seems to have improved his net awareness over his performance at the World Juniors. Ensuring that Cossa receives the finest goaltending coaching and development will be a large part of Yzerman’s team development strategy.

Jeremie Biakabutuka

A solid skater that makes good decisions with the puck. Smart, strong, and aggressive. A solid skater but appeared a step slow to be an NHL-quality defenseman. I liked his attitude, patience, and confidence.
