Finland

Eemil Viro was a 3rd round pick, 70th overall in the 2020 draft.  Viro will return and play in his second and final WJC-20 tournament.  Last year, Viro picked up two assists in seven games for Team Finland in these championships.  He will be counted on to provide experience on the blueline for Finland.  Going into this year’s tournament, Viro has played 26 games for TPS (Liiga) and recorded one goal and three points with an even +/- rating.

Czech Republic

Jan Bednar was a 4th round pick, 107th overall in the 2020 draft.  Bednar will return and play in his second and final WJC-20 tournament.  Last year, Bednar was the 3rd string goaltender with Team Czech Republic.  He will be counted on to provide experience in goal this year.  Going into this tournament, Bednar has played 19 games for Acadie-Bathurst (QMJHL) and has a record of 10-6-2, with a 3.03 GAA, and a .902 SV%.
