Tonight, the Detroit Red Wings visit the Montreal Canadiens for the second time in 11 days.  Game time at Bell Centre is 7:00 PM ET.

Montreal won the first meeting between the teams, 6-1.

Red Wings Notes

  • Top Scorer Tyler Bertuzzi will miss his second consecutive game (not vaccinated against Covid-19)
  • Lucas Raymond continues to produce (4G-5A-9PTS) offensively for the Red Wings.  Raymond leads all NHL rookies in scoring
  • Dylan Larkin has 3G-5A-8PTS in his first eight games
  • Defenseman Moritz Seider has eight assists in his first nine NHL games.  He currently sits second in NHL rookie scoring behind Raymond.
  • Goaltender Thomas Greiss has won three of his first five starts of the season
  • Joe Veleno played his first game of the season and scored one goal and assisted on another.  He earned the 3rd star of the game against Toronto on Saturday
  • Detroit is currently 13th in league standings
