Moritz Seider will make his NHL debut with Detroit this year.  He has played three years professionally and looks ready to be a dominant force on the Detroit blue line.  Seider has represented Germany in several tournaments over the last five years.

In 2017 and 2018, Seider played in two WJC-18 D1A qualification tournaments.  Germany won a Silver Medal in 2017 and a Gold Medal in 2018.  In both tournaments, Seider was selected as the Best Defenseman.

Seider also played in the WJC-20 D1A qualification tournaments in 2018 and 2019.  In 2018, Germany won the Bronze Medal.  In 2019, Germany won the Gold Medal and Seider was selected as the Best Defenseman and Top Player on Germany.

In 2019, Seider was also selected to play in the World Championships for the first time.

In 2020, Germany moved up to the top division at the World Junior Championships.  Seider was the captain and scored six points in seven games.  He was selected as a Top 3 Player on his team.

Last year was an extraordinary year for Seider.  He was selected as the Top Defenseman in the SHL.  He then played at the World Championships and scored five points in ten games.  He was selected as the Top Defenseman in the tournament.

Thomas Greiss is a veteran goalie with an enormous amount of international experience.  One drawback for Greiss is that he hasn’t represented Germany since the World Championships in 2017.

His first international experience in world competition began at the WJC-18 D1 in 2003 and 2004.

Greiss has also represented Germany at the WJC-20 D1, World Junior Championships twice, and World Championships in 2016 and 2017.

Greiss has already represented Germany in two Olympic Games (2006, 2010).
