Tim Chevedae was a 4th round draft pick for Detroit in 1986.  Cheveldae played three seasons of junior in Saskatoon (WHL) before turning professional in 1988.  In 1988-89, Cheveldae was a member of the AHL Calder Cup Championship team in Adirondack.

He played parts of six seasons in Detroit including 1991-92 when he had the most wins (38) for a goaltender in the NHL.  Cheveldae played parts of three seasons in Winnipeg and played two games in Boston in 1996-97 before retiring in 1998.

Cheveldae played nine seasons in the NHL, compiling a record of 149-136-37, 10 shutouts and a GAA of 3.49 in 340 games.
