Jimmy Howard played his entire 14 year career in Detroit.  His 246 wins rank him 3rd on the Red Wings all-time list.  Howard was originally a 2nd round pick from the 2003 draft.  Prior to turning professional, Howard played three seasons at the University of Maine (NCAA).

He then split the next three seasons between Grand Rapids (AHL) and Detroit.  In 2009, Howard became a fixture in the Detroit net for the last 11 years of his career.

He won 37 games in back-to-back years from 2009-2011.  He also posted 21 wins in 48 playoff games during his career.  Howard retired from the NHL at the end of the 2019-20 season.
