Pius Suter signed a two year UFA contract with Detroit.  He was an undrafted free agent signed to a one year deal with Chicago after playing for ZSC (NL) for parts of four seasons.  In 2019-20, Suter was the top scorer in the NL and also won the NL Media Most Valuable Player when he scored 30 goals and 53 points in 50 games.  Prior to turning professional, Suter played for Guelph (OHL) on a line with Tyler Bertuzzi and Robby Frabbri.  In his final season in the OHL, Suter scored 43 goals in 61 games helping lead the team to an OHL Championship.  Suter scored his first NHL goal this year against Detroit on January 24 and followed up that goal with two more in earning a hat trick in only his 6th NHL game.
