The Detroit Red Wings are nominated for three 2020 NHL Fan Choice Awards. Take a look at what they’re nominated for and cast your votes through June 1.

There have been very few wins for the Detroit Red Wings this season, but more could be on the horizon…just not on the actual ice.

This week the NHL announced the 2020 NHL Fan Choice Awards ™, and the Red Wings have two opportunities to win.

Forward Tyler Bertuzzi is up for best dog in the NHL, with his Australian shepherd Aussie. Competing against Connor McDavid, Lawson Crouse and Samuel Girard and their dogs.

The team as a whole is competing for best TikTok, which if you didn’t know, is the latest social media platform everyone is raving about while in quarantine. Here’s the Detroit Red Wings TikTok if you want to check out their videos.

And last but not least, every team has a chance to win best building. If the team was still at Joe Louis, there’d be no competition. The Joe was THEE barn, and you all know it. Not sure Little Caesars Arena can compete when there hasn’t even been a hockey playoff game there yet.

According to a release put out by the NHL, fans can vote across all 20 categories through June 1, 2020 and share their selections on social media with #NHLFanChoice. Here’s a cool teaser video for the awards, too.

Winners are announced June 3, 2020 and celebrated on social across the NHL’s channels. You can find winners in June, here. To see a full list of the categories and the nominees, go to NHL.com, or click this link, duh.

After looking at the nominees in the Red Wings’ categories, I’m going to give them a chance at best TikTok. It’s hard to compete with Crouse’s dog, Butter Pig, the half pug, half pig, puppy, and there’s no way Little Caesars Arena is even close to the best building.

Which of the three do you think the team can win, if any?
