With another week of the season behind us, it’s time to take a look at all the goals scored from the week that was.

Goal #1-Frans Nielsen

Nielsen scored his first goal since Feb.13th and his 14th of the season. Unfortunately, his night would come to an end shortly after the goal as he took a hit to the head from David Backes. He has remained out of the lineup and does not have a set date for a return.

Goal #2-Mike Green

It was a two-point night against Boston on Tuesday for Green. He produces a nice goal after a fantastic pass from Andreas Athanasiou. He has three points in his last three games as he looks to end the season on a high note.

Goals #3 and #4-Anthony Mantha

Mantha came up big for the Red Wings on Tuesday as he kept them in the game in the second period. He went back and forth with Brad Marchand as the two exchanged goals twice. Surprisingly, this was just his third multi-goal of the season.

After 68 games, Mantha continues to lead the Red Wings in goal scoring with 23 goals in 66 appearances.

Goal #5-Martin Frk

Frk scored his first goal and recorded his first point of any kind since Feb. 9th. The forward has to be happy to end the drought as he looks to pick up more playing time. Additionally, this was a big goal in its own right, sending the game to overtime.

Goal #6 Darren Helm

Helm answered a Columbus Blue Jackets shorthanded goal almost instantly with this finish. He would later be robbed by Sergei Bobrovsky in the final seconds of the game.

Goal #7-Andreas Athanasiou

Perhaps the top Red Wings goal of the week, Athanasiou puts a lot of pace on this shot as Bobrovsky let this one slip by. Two points in three games this week put Athanasiou back on track. He is tied for third in goal scoring on the team sheet and is only six goals away from reaching a 20-goal season.

See back here next week for, hopefully, more goals and a couple of wins.
