The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs will face each other on Saturday night at Ricoh Coliseum.

It will be a rematch of Friday night’s game at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit as the Maple Leafs came away with a 4-2 win. The Leafs were led by an Auston Matthews third-period goal that proved to be the game-winner.

This will be the last preseason game for both teams with their respective regular-season openers less than a week away.

Toronto Team Outlook

After losing their first two games of the preseason, the Maple Leafs have won five consecutive games. They have been led by Matthews who is tied for the lead among all National Hockey League players in preseason goals scored.

Here’s how the Leafs roster will look for their matchup against the Wings.

Detroit Team Outlook

It’s been an up and down preseason for the Red Wings but a win on Saturday would be a great springboard to their regular season start.

Petr Mrazek will get the start in net and will be backed up by Jared Coreau.

Here’s the complete projected lines and lineup for the game.

Michael Rasmussen will be on the first line as he looks to score his fourth goal of the preseason. Thus far, he has impressed many with his goal-scoring ability in the appearances he’s made for the Wings.

All-in-all, it is a rather young lineup with PA Parenteau being the veteran presence on the squad.

Coach Jeff Blashill spoke with the media on Saturday morning.
