Red Wings Connections
Here are the seven Red Wings prospects that were selected to the attend the event.
United States
Keith Petruzzelli (G)-2017 Third Round Pick
Canada
Dennis Cholowski (D)-2016 First Round Pick
Givani Smith (F)-2016 Second Round Pick
Michael Rasmussen (F)-2017 First-Round Pick
Sweden
Filip Larsson (G)-2016 Sixth Round Pick
Gustav Lindstrom (D)-2017 Second Round Pick
Finland
Kasper Kotkansalo (D)-2017 Third Round Pick
This promises to be an exciting set of games as there are multiple first round selections from the 2016 and 2017 drafts who will be looking to impress. Additionally, some of the top prospects for the 2018 draft will be on hand including Rasmus Dahlin.
Cholowski will have a very talented group of defensemen to train and play with. There is five other first round picks among Canda’s defensive selections, including the fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft Cale Makar.
Rasmussen will be a player to be on the lookout for as he was just added to the roster this week. He dealt with a wrist injury earlier this season which sidelined him, so it will be interesting to see what kind of form he is in at the moment.
It will be a strong group of goaltenders for the American as Petruzzelli will have Jake Oettinger and Joseph Woll along side him on the roster.
The two new defensive prospects for the Wings, Kotkansalo and Lindstrom, should be two players to keep an eye on as well.
