There’s plenty to talk about on Wednesday’s edition of the links as Tomas Nosek is on his way out and Spencer Foo is still in the mix.

Nosek to Vegas

As reported today, Nosek is headed to the Vegas Golden Knights. This is a move that makes sense for the Knights as they were looking for a third or fourth line type player on the Red Wings roster. He won’t cost them as much as Petr Mrazek, who was one of the possible options for the expansion team.

More on Spencer Foo

Frank Seravalli of TSN is reporting that Foo is still interested in joining the Red Wings and they are one of the last teams he’s narrowed down.

New Jerseys

The new Adidas jerseys were unveiled on Tuesday night. Not much changed for the Red Wings jerseys.

Red Wings Home Opener Announced

The 2017-18 home opener was announced on Wednesday afternoon as the Wings will host the Minnesota Wild on Oct.5. Both sides faced each other twice in the 2016-17 season. The Wings won their last meeting in March.

Around the League

NHL.com reported that Marian Hossa will not play in the 2017-18 season.

"Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa will not play next season because of a progressive skin disorder and side effects of medication to treat it.Hossa, 38, has experienced allergic reactions to his equipment, Sportsnet reported Tuesday.Hossa said he has been undergoing treatment for the disorder under the supervision of the Blackhawks medical staff for the past few years, but the side effects, and his reaction to them, made it impossible for him to play in what would have been his 20th NHL season in 2017-18."
