It’s Monday, the Detroit Red Wings have a busy week ahead and the salary cap gets an increase. This and more in the links.

Jersey Reveal

On June 21, the new Adidas jerseys will be revealed to the public. Hopefully, the Red Wings jerseys do not disappoint.

Salary Cap Increase

The salary cap range will increase for the 2017 season. In 2016, the lower limit was $55 million and the upper limit was $73 million. For the upcoming season, it will be $55.4 million in the lower end and $74 million for the upper. Albeit, it’s not a huge increase but at least it’s something.

Ted Lindsay to Make NHL Awards Show Appearance

Red Wings legend, Ted Lindsay, will be one of the award presenters at the National Hockey League Awards show on June, 23. The finalists for the Ted Lindsay award are Brett Burns (San Jose Sharks), Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers), and Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins). The award is given to the most outstanding player in the regular season.

Around the League

NHL.com is reporting that Shane Doan of the Arizona Coyotes will not be offered a new contract for the upcoming season.

"“After serious consideration, we have decided to not offer Shane Doan a contract for the upcoming season. The time has come for us to move on and to focus on our young, talented group of players and our very bright future,” owner Andrew Barroway said. “This was a very difficult decision given what Shane has done for the Coyotes and his unparalleled importance to the organization. With that said, this is necessary to move us forward as a franchise.”"

Doan has spent his entire NHL career with the organization.
