Grand Rapids Griffins: Top 5 Goals From Calder Cup Finals

We take a look back at the top five goals scored by the Grand Griffins during the Calder Cup finals.

A total of 20 goals were scored by the Griffins in the six games it took to win the Calder Cup. There were plenty of goals to choose from in a series that featured many dramatic moments and late winners.

#5 Tomas Nosek-Game 1

Nosek had a fantastic playoff campaign as he led the Griffins with 22 points in 19 appearances. This goal won the Griffins Game 1, it was Nosek’s second goal of the game and gave him his 10th goal of the postseason. With just seconds remaining it’s a worthy choice to start our countdown.

#4 Ben Street-Game 2

Street scored the game-winner in Game 2 in double overtime. The forward had 21 points in the playoff run.

#3 Kyle Criscuolo-Game 3

Despite the loss in Game 3, this wonderful display of passing from Tyler Bertuzzi and Crisculol was one of the best goals of the playoffs for the Griffins. Bertuzzi would go on to win the MVP award for the playoffs.

#2 Martin Frk-Game 2

Frk was definitely one of the most impressive prospects in the playoffs. He displays great patience and skill here with this laser of a shot. The 23-year-old Czech had five goals and 10 assists during the playoffs.

#1 Martin Frk-Game 6

This was the goal that won the Griffins their second Calder Cup trophy in team history.
