I’m a database developer by day, aspiring chef at night, and a Red Wings fan 24/7.

I grew up in Michigan, but didn’t really become a fan until I moved to Ohio.  I remember watching the playoff runs in the mid 1990’s and was always disappointed at the end of the seasons where there were Stanley Cup expectations but first round upsets.

I wear red and white with pride despite living in Blue Jacket country.  I wear one of my ten Red Wings jerseys to work every Friday during the hockey season and I even brought a cake in for Steve Yzerman Day.

I don’t have the hatred for some teams like other Red Wings fans.  I think that’s because I don’t live in Detroit and I have never been hassled by any opposing fans.  Blue Jackets fans do not like the Red Wings and in the games I’ve gone to I’ve never heard anything derogatory or insulting.  Regardless, I do have teams and players I do not like.  I do not like the Avs, Ducks, or Predators and I can’t stand Chris Pronger, Patrick Roy, or Claude Lemieux.

I want to blog about the Red Wings or really big NHL news.  I’m here to share my opinion, give you a different point of view than mainstream media, and to sprinkle in as many facts as I can.  I try to be as accurate as I can with the stats and I want you to learn something from every post.
