The HBO 24/7 crew has been following the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs as a lead up to the  Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® at The Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

While the Winter Classic is not until Wednesday, January 1st, the first episode of HBO series starts on Saturday, December 14th, at 10:00 p.m. on HBO.

The series will include four episodes and each one of them will air during prime time for the first time in the NHL’s 24/7 history. The second show with air on December 21st, the third on December 28th and the fourth and final episode will air on January 4th, a few days after the Winter Classic.

The NHL has released a few teaser trailers for the series including the coaches interview, which might be my favorite one.

It will be interesting to see how Mike Babcock is in the dressing room because he is a tough coach, but he said he would be aware of the cameras and try not to embarrass his kids, although he said he would regardless. Will Babcock tone it down for the cameras or will he be himself?

What I am looking forward to the most is how Pavel Datsyuk will interact with the cameras, will he be his shy self or will HBO bring out a bit more of his personality, but if nothing else I hope HBO highlights his incredible wit.

It will be a great experience for Detroit Red Wings’ fans and Toronto Maple Leafs’ fans, but all hockey fans will be able to receive enjoyment from the series as well.

What are you looking forward to seeing on HBO’s 24/7 series?
