Buffalo brought back the “goat’s head” logo for their reverse retro jersey with today’s coloring.

Another logo mocked initially by many for looking more like a goat than a bison is now beloved by many fans. Calgary brought back the striping known as the “pedestal” design for its appearance of supporting the logo, although many are still not fans of this design.

Nashville brought back the giant-toothed original third jersey predator logo. They utilized their current gold color as the base instead of the original mustard yellow color. Good choice. However, I would have liked to see a blue base or the use of the shoulder patch sabretooth skull logo as the primary. Pittsburgh revived the “Robo Penguin” logo that Jagr and Lemieux made famously, but it wasn’t well received initially.

Now, many people like this iteration of a penguin. The Islanders brought back everybody’s favorite frozen fish stick ambassador from Gorton’s. Some new coloring and embroidery techniques make this a nice jersey. Finally, Tampa Bay did it.

They brought back the 1997 storm third jersey. A jersey is so ugly and unique that it became one of the most sought-after jerseys to own. I know many people still hate them, but I, for one, am glad to see they returned. Maybe it’s because I’m a bit of a masochist, but they are so fun.

Some teams returned designs that fans loved from the start. Edmonton returns the comic artist extraordinaire Todd McFarlane’s designed mechanical oil drop, this time with some orange incorporated throughout. Los Angeles finally brought back the beautiful crown logo for the first time on a white jersey.
