<itunes:summary>
Hell, If the Wings are going big, then we are too!

In the first ever Octopus Thrower Podcast, we take a look at game six and how the Red Wings responded to it after it was all said and done. We also throw in a game seven preview and prediction.

Game Seven is on the way, and it’s going to be a doozie! My suggestion is to find your favorite Lazy Boy, Bar, hangout and Big screen T.V. to catch possibly the best hockey game in the last ten years.

********

Morning Skate went well for the Wings. Justin Abdelkader and Ville Leno skated for Dan Cleary and Kris Draper, so they could avoid nagging injuries before the final game of the Season. Mike Babcock has had a pretty interesting outlook that is a bit surprising to me. But then again, there is a reason I think this man is the best coach in Detroit Sports since Scotty Bowman. Here is what he told he players about the final game at Joe Louis Arena:

“This is (how) you spend your whole life when you’re a kid, at least in Canada,” Babcock said. “You’re dreaming of scoring the game-winning goal of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.

“Now, you’ve got it. Play and have some fun.”

Center Kris Draper also added this morning on MLIVE that he has never been in a game seven like this, and he is really looking forward to getting at it:

“Never have I been in a situation like this in a Game 7, where so much is on the line. And I’m excited about it. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be (confident). We’re playing in our building.”

In the Podcast I talk a bit about how Joe Louis really is the difference in this series in the same light that Kris hints too here. The Wings seem awfully confident, and we will see if they can perform like they did in game five.
