Growing up in London Ontario a city situated two hours between Detroit and Toronto I really only had two choices: Wings or Leafs. Fortunately, with a little strong-arming from my Dad I made the right decision and have been an absolute Wing Nut since I was five years old. My loyalty has never wavered through the highest of highs and lowest of lows (even in ’93 when Borschevsky’s goal led to plenty of ridicule and embarrassment at school). Early spring is my favourite time of year… when playoff battles ensue, playoff rivalries are renewed, playoff beards are sprouted, and the dream of Detroit hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup presents itself one more time.
