Thoughts on the Schedule

The Detroit Red Wings start off the Regular Season at home against the Boston Bruins, which should be a good match-up because they are playing each other in the preseason as well.

October is going to be a rough month for Detroit: they will face three division rivals in five games, play the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the defending Stanley Cup Champions Los Angeles Kings.

The Red Wings only play for games at 10:00 p.m. or later, but do have two games at 9:30 p.m. and one at 9:00 p.m.

The Red Wings end the season on the road once again this season, but this time they will face the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes.

This is the second year the Detroit Red Wings will be competing in the Eastern Conference and they should be better equipped to have good season in the East.
