Anthony Mantha

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past year, you’ve heard of Anthony Mantha. The 6’5″, 200+-pound winger has been titled as the best prospect the Red Wings have had in years. Mantha played for the Val-d’Or Foreurs through 2014, and last year led the QMJHL with 50 goals. This year, he led the league again, with 57 goals and 120 points for 1st in all scoring. He was named the CHL’s Player of the Year, and secured Val-d’Or their first division title. He scored 24 goals in the playoffs this year, with a total of 38 points in 24 games.

Mantha is a big-bodied power forward, who can skate smoothly and quickly. His laser shot is cradled by a lightning release, and as you’ve already been told, he is a monster of a goal-scorer. Along with his natural talent, the winger is always looking to improve. He responds to criticism very well and has quickly turned around his defensive game. He has been given some heat for looking lethargic on the ice when the puck isn’t on his stick, and is also accused of often being a product of his linemates, but when you score goals like that, you can’t be expected to do everything by yourself; his talent cannot be discounted. A quick Mantha hat trick for you:

Sounds good, if Holland doesn’t give them all to Nashville.

Mantha and Athanasiou are left handed and Pulkkinen is right handed. If we add another line with Tuch on the right side as a power forward with Sheahan centering and Tatar on the left we might have something.
