Two Detroit Red Wings saw action in day fourteen of the 2014 World Championship in Minsk, Belarus.

Gustav Nyquist was on the ice Sweden and Jakub Kindl was on the ice Czech Republic. Tomas Tatar and Slovakia were knocked out of the tournament in the preliminary round, while Danny DeKeyser and Justin Abdelkader of the USA were knocked out in the first Medal Round.

Finland was up against the Czech Republic at 9:45 a.m., while Sweden battled Russia at 1:45 p.m.

Czech Republic vs Finland

Jakub Kindl had 18:45 minutes of ice time, placed one shot on net, and was even in their loss. Kindl was on the ice for Finland’s lone power play goal.

The Czech Republic lost to Finland 3-0.

Sweden vs Russia

Gustav Nyquist had 15:51 minutes of ice time, placed two shots on net, spent two minutes in the penalty box, and was minus two in the game. Nyquist was on the ice for the two goals and while he was not factor in the goals directly, it does not look good on paper.

Detroit Red Wings in action May, 25th

Gustav Nyquist and Sweden will play Jakub Kindl and the Czech Republic for the Bronze Medal at 9:30 a.m.

Russia is up against Finland for the Gold Medal at 2:00 p.m.
