USA vs Germany
Justin Abdelkader had 19:04 minutes of ice time, registered three shots on net, scored two goals for USA, and finished the game a plus three. Abdelkader scored the first goal of the game for USA and the last goal of the game, which became the game winner after Germany scored late in the third.
Danny DeKeyser had 22:21 minutes of ice time, sat for two minutes in the penalty box, and had an even rating. DeKeyser did not register a shot on net, but his ice time increased as the game went on for USA and that shows how much the coaching staff trusts him on the ice.
USA beat Germany 5-4.
Slovakia vs Denmark
Tomas Tatar had 17:52 minutes of ice time, placed four shots on net, scored two goals, and finished the game a plus two. Tatar followed in the foot of Abdelkader and scored the first and last goals of the game for Slovakia, plus his second goal became the game winner after Denmark scored second after.
Slovakia beat Denmark 4-3.
Czech Republic vs France
Jakub Kindl had 21:39 minutes of ice time, placed two shots on net, registered and assist, and was plus one in the game. Kindl picked up the primary assist on Martin Zatovic’s goal in the second period.
The Czech Republic bested France 5-4 in overtime.
