#3 – Olympic Gold Medal

Nicklas Lidstrom made his Olympic debut with Sweden in Nagano during the 1998 Winter Olympics and has played in four Winter Olympics with Sweden, but Lidstrom’s most memorable moment on the Olympic stage came in 2006.

In 2006, Nick Lidstrom was tapped to be an alternate captain for Team Sweden and helped guide them to a Gold Medal in the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.

Lidstrom was named to the All-Star team despite losing the best defenseman award to his teammate: Kenny Jönsson.

With the victory, Lidstrom joined the elusive Triple Gold Club.
