The Grand Rapids Griffins Advance To The Calder Cup Finals

The Grand Rapids Griffins have advanced to the Calder Cup Finals for the first time in franchise history.

In order to make it to the Calder Cup Finals, the Griffins beat the Houston Aeros in five games, the Toronto Marlies in six games, and most recently the the Oklahoma City Barons in seven games.

Only the Syracuse Crunch now stand in the way of the Griffins and their first Calder Cup.

The combination of Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Tatar, and Joakim Andersson contiues to be the Griffins best line and if they want to take home the trophy that will have to continue in this series.

Danny DeKeyser has been cleared to play and will take the ice at some point during the series.
