Pavel Datsyuk Wants To Stay In Detroit

The 34 year old magician, Pavel Datsyuk, wants to re-sign and stay in Detroit.

It was rumoured that he might leave the NHL after his current contract with the Wings was up and finish his career in Russia with a KHL team, but now that is being put to rest. The KHL rumours shows up every year with Datsyuk, but they were much louder this season because of the time he spent in the KHL during the lockout.

Datsyuk will likely sign his last NHL contract soon and will be for two to three seasons, which gives us fans at least three more magical years.

I doubt that the Detroit Red Wings will be the last team he plays for in his illustrious career, but they will be the only NHL team.

No more worrying about Datsyuk leaving after next season because he is here to stay!

UPDATE: A tweet from the man, himself.
