Highlights – 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Game 4 – Detroit Red Wings vs Chicago Blackhawks

The Detroit Red Wings have put a stranglehold on the series after taking a 3-1 series lead last night by beating the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0.

The way the Detroit Red Wings started game four had me was worried; nine turnovers in their own zone and out shot 14 to 10, and out played. The Wings held on though, thanks in part to Jimmy Howard‘s stellar play in net.

In the second period, Jonathan Toews decided that he preferred to sit in the penalty box than play against Henrik Zetterberg any more. Toews cam unglued and spent 5 minutes and 59 seconds  in the box out of 7 minutes and 34 second. Jakub Kindl felt bad for Toews and decided to let him out early by scoring the first power play goal against the Blackhawks in the playoffs.

Daniel Cleary finished off the game with an empty net goal in the final minute.

If you want to watch the funniest part of last nights game here it is.

Bryan Bickell was rocked by Jonathan Ericsson and forgot how to skate for a while.

What a win by the Red Wings and they have a chance to end the series in Chicago.

The Red Wings face-off against the Blackhawks again for game five on Saturday, May 25th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. For the full schedule visit our Playoff Schedule Page.
