Highlights – 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Game 6 – Detroit Red Wings vs Anaheim Ducks

For the first time in the series for the Detroit Red Wings, their top players took over a game. Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk each had three points and Zetterberg notched his first two goals of the series, including the game winner in overtime. In net, Jimmy Howard was nothing short of spectacular and should not be blamed for any of the three goals the Ducks scored.

What do all of Detroit’s goals have in common? A body in front of Hiller. If you do not believe me take a look at this breakdown of all four of the Red Wings goals.

Justin Abdelkader, Daniel Cleary, and Johan Franzen put their bodies in front of  the net and Jonas Hiller screened on every single one of those goals.

The Ducks third goal was nothing short of terrible refereeing by the officials on the ice. Kyle Quincey pushed the puck around the net and was going after it when, directly in front on the referee, Corey Perry blatantly tripped him. The fact that the trip was not called and then lead directly to a goal is awful and the NHL should look into why this happened.

Head on over and read our game recap here.

The series is now tied 3-3 and the Wings are on their way back to Anaheim for game 7 on Sunday at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
