The Detroit Red Wings take on the Nashville Predators for the second time in three game tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Detroit is coming off of a very disappointing lose to Columbus and have lost five straight games. In three of those games the Red Wings went up 2-0 before losing the game. The Wings are not confident enough while playing with the lead, but also are not able to come back from being down in games; if the opposing teams score first the Red Wings do not win the game. This is not Red Wings hockey and fans are not happy.
Nashville is coming off of a tough game against the Vancouver Canucks at home and had to travel to Detroit. They could either come out flat or ready to play. Knowing the Predators though, it will probably be the latter as they continue to battle the Wings toughly.
Projected Line-up
Valtteri Filppula – Henrik Zetterberg – Damien Brunner
Daniel Cleary – Pavel Datsyuk – Justin Abdelkader
Tomas Tatar – Joakim Andersson – Jan Mursak
Drew Miller – Cory Emmerton – Jordin Tootoo
Defense:
Niklas Kronwall – Brian Lashoff
Jonathan Ericsson – Ian White
Kent Huskins – Jakub Kindl
Goaltender
Jimmy Howard had a bounce back game against the Blue Jackets and it seems the blurry vision is a thing of the past.
Cory Emmerton has been a very good grinder for the Wings this season. He has been blocking a lot of shots and puts pressure on the other teams defense.
With Kyle Quincey likely out of this game Jakub Kindl will receive another chance to prove himself. Seriously, how many chances does this guy get?
Prediction: Red Wings build off of their play against Columbus and take advantage of the fact Nashville is coming off of a tough game from last night. Red Wing victory 2-1.
