Three games into the season and now four Detroit Red Wing defencemen are on the shelf. The Red Wings cannot catch a break.
Deep gash to Ian White just above the knee…we’ll see how serious it is…unbelievable, this run of injuries.

ANd another RED Wings D goes down…Ian White out for 2-3 weeks after cutting his leg last night….amazing…

Ian White joins Jonathan Ericsson, Jakub Kindl, and Carlo Colaiacovo in the trainer’s room. Kindl or Ericsson could be healthy enough to play on Friday, but if not the Red Wings might be looking for another veteran defenceman to fill his spot. Alternatively, they could call up Adam Almqvist from the Griffins, but that would weaken our already shaky defence.
Seriously hockey gods. We can’t go one game without losing a player to injury?
