Calling NHL Writers!

Do you want to write about the Detroit RedWings on our site? Or perhaps Vancouver or Tampa? Then we may have some positions for you. Our site hires staff who want to get into the business of sports journalism. Either as a hobby or as a stepping stone to a career in the sports world. The first step is getting yourself known and finding out if the daily rigors of writing and deadlines is for you.

We are accepting Email applications for lead writing positions on Rink Royalty (L.A. Kings) and Predlines (Nashville Predators).  The lead writer is to write daily and maintain a staff, amongst other responsibilities. We are also accepting applications for writing staff for all NHL teams. The requirement for a regular staff writer is twice a week. Some teams need a Media Specialist to maintain incoming news links, videos, tweets, and quotes and also to run the social media of the page. That being a Facebook page and a Twitter account. To apply for Octopus Thrower, simply send an Email to [email protected] for more info. For all other teams please click here to apply. Tell us why you think you have what it takes to be a daily or weekly writer for  the team that you’re interested in and what you hope to accomplish out of it. We’ll need two examples of your writing about the team you’re inquiring about, NHL, or hockey related. Be original and stand out.

In your sample, make sure that you punctuate properly and spell check as we

Be advised, these are non-paying positions, as we are a blog.

We here at FanSided truly are a community and like to stay connected with one another. We’re looking to add to our writing staff family, and I personally look forward to hearing from you!

Wingin’ it for another day in hockey paradise,
