He's played 20 seasons, won 4 cups and has nothing left to prove, and 20 is a nice round number to end on. I also believe that deep down in his heart he realizes the truth that the Wings need to get younger and hungrier for the long term good of the franchise, and that he's an obstacle to achieving that. He also has family obligations that pull him back to his home country of Sweden. Good-bye Nick, you were sensational! I think he will retire.
