Red Wings Cut 16 Players

According to Ted Kulfan at The Detroit News the Red Wings have cut 16 players from their roster today:

Goalie Thomas McCollum, defensemen Greg Amadio, Gleason Fournier, Sebastien Piche and Bryan Rufenach, and forwards Louis-Marc Aubry, Mitchell Callahan, Willie Coetzee, Adam Estoclet, Jamie Johnson, Andrej Nestrasil, Nick Oslund, Francis Pare, Trevor Parkes, and Brent Raedeke all were assigned to the minor-league affiliate Griffins.

Also, goalie Ramis Sadikov was given his unconditional release.

That leaves the Wings with 39 players on the roster. The Wings have four exhibition games left, beginning with Wednesday’s game in Chicago.
