Yesterday via Twitter Mike Commodore, one of the Red Wings defense free agency signings, announced he would be wearing the number 22 rather than the nerd love fest 64.
I guess word is out that I will be wearing 22 this year. It was a really tough decision that I went back and forth on many times…..
wearing 64 would have been neat and cool, but I just didn’t feel like this was the right year to do it. In my opinion getting an…
opportunity to play in Detroit is a special thing, and I felt like I needed to wear a # that is special to me. 22 is that # for me…
Can’t knock that!
Sure I was in the nerddom that was all gun-ho about a Commodore 64 jersey; but I respect the guys decision. The fact that though he is not going to wear the jersey hs is still going to match the pledges from the Puck Daddy readers and donate anyway is a nice touch. Everyone wins.
Heck Commie is even going to buy a Commodore 64 once he is settled in in Detroit. So even Commodore USA got some free publicity for the re launch of the unit.
