Imported To Detroit: Mike Commodore

If you have not heard yet the Detroit Red Wings have signed recent UFA (recent as in the Columbus Blue Jackets just bought out his contract with them) Mike Commodore.

You may remember that Commie has been on the Red Wings bench once before…

Alright – enough – he is one of ours now. Now as many have done via Twitter already today I want to officially welcome Commie to Hockeytown….

Welcome to Detroit.

Hockeytown.

MoTown.

MotorCity (and not just the Casino which by the guy that signs your pay checks [Mike Ilitch] wife owns).

We have Greektown.

Corktown.

Some of the best pączki you will find this side of the Atlantic.

The Tigers (also owned by your boss… he owns a lot….)

Lions (not just the ones that are locked out with the NHL but the ones at the Detroit Zoo).

The second largest theater district in the US (Only one larger is New York).

We have a large base in technology and geekdom that would love to see you go with Commodore 64.

So when you get here if you want a tour have your people get in contact with my people (in other words follow me on Twitter and DM me so I can DM you back – as you have actually talked with me some via Twitter in the past about Goodwill/Salvation Army donation pick ups).

Now I doubt Commie is actually reading this – but who knows…

Here you go Commie… you’re one of us now:

Of course I can not go without sharing that Chris Hollis over at The Production Line called the signing of Commodore before anyone else. Kudos to them once again.
