The Return Of The Perfect Human

News broke just a little while ago that the Detroit Red Wings announced that they and Nicklas Lidstrom have agreed to a one-year contract worth $6.2 million.

One of the best (if not the best) defensemen to ever play the game Lidstrom already has six Norris Trophy’s and is heading to Las Vegas for the NHL Awards in two days for another shot at a third after being a finalist the last two years to Boston Bruins Zdeno Chara and Chicago Blackhawks Duncan Keith.

This now gives the Red Wings four defensemen for next season: Brad Stuart, Niklas Kronwall and Jakub Kindl in addition to Captian Nick; and as long as the Red Wings make the playoffs for this coming season Norris Nick will be playing past is 42nd birthday.
