To say game one was a bit of a disappointment for the Red Wings and their fans is probably the biggest understatement of the post season.
So lets not dwell on that.
Brush yourself off.
Put on your tinfoil hat.
Now get ready for game two today from San Jose on NBC and TSN for those north of the boarder (unless you‘re in Windsor than you‘re south of the boarder).
Chris over at The Nightmare on Helm Street had it right when he said Lets Regroup and Start Again after the first game.
Trying to ride out a 1-0 game in the playoffs more often than not is not going to work. Red Wings tried that in game one with the goal from Nicklas Lidstrom and it did not work out so well. Last night the same thing happened up in Vancouver as the Canucks tried to ride out a 1-0 game and saw Roberto Luongo let in the equalizer with just over a minute left in the game (the game went into a second overtime before Nashville made it a tied series).
If division rival Predators and tie up their series in Presidents Trophy winning Vancouver then there is plenty of hope that the Red Wings can tie their series in Joe Thornton’s Shark Tank.
Projected Red Wings Lineup
Henrik Zetterberg – Pavel Datsyuk – Tomas Holmstrom
Jiri Hudler – Valtteri Filppula – Johan Franzen
Dan Cleary – Justin Abdelkader – Todd Bertuzzi
Drew Miller – Darren Helm – Patrick Eaves
Nicklas Lidstrom / Brad Stuart
Brian Rafalski / Jonathan Ericsson
Niklas Kronwall / Ruslan Salei
