Hockeytown Déjà vu

It seems like a bad dream where the Detroit Red Wings would fight off the wild Coyotes in seven games then get fed to the Sharks.

Good thing we all woke up from that nightmare at the end of the 2010 playoff season….

Here we are a year later, a year older, and a year wiser. The Red Wings defeated the Coyotes in four games this time and now look to stop a feeding frenzy out in San Jose.

Sure feels like déjà vu to me.

Tonight Detroit jumps back into playoff action with the return of Henrik Zetterberg whom is expected to be with his Euro Twin Pavel Datsyuk on the top line. It will be the former Jet and North Star to sit (Kris Draper and Mike Modano).

Here is Detroit’s lineup:

Zetterberg – Datsyuk – Holmstrom
Hudler – Filppula – Franzen
Cleary – Abdelkader – Bertuzzi
Miller – Helm – Eaves

Lidstrom / Stuart
Ericsson / Rafalski
Kronwall / Salei

Howard
MacDonald
