Throughout the season many of the Red Wings have been taking the time out to reach out to fans.

Many have made appearnces at Meijer, and can’t forget about the yearly Salvation Army kettles ringing, and lately they have been taking the time out to visit Detroit area schools to teach the kids some basics about hockey; but Justin Abdelkader took the time to read to students.

Abdelkader sat down yesterday at toread “The Little Engine that Could” to a group of students at Glazer Elemantary School yesterday.

Keep up the great work Detroit. As they say – sometimes the best assist comes off the ice.

With that in mind… please please PLEASE win these next few games.
