Wings@Blue Jackets Preview

wings/bluejackets

So this is what were looking at: going into a home and home series with the blue jackets on back to back nights. Tomorrow night we will play at Nationwide Arena, on Saturday we will take Colombus back to meet our good friend “The Joe”. Going into tomorrow night we are second in the West with 59 points. Our adversary is 13th in the west with 43 points.
Last Ten:
Detroit: 6-3-1
Colombus: 3-7-1
While we are in the midst of our seemingly required injury epidemic of the season, we are not doing too bad considering. We are not first in the west as we were before injuries, but second to a hot team right now considering what we are working through. Our third and fourth lines have been producing like we need them to, and our depth scorers are still scoring. Going into this game Helm has 8 points in the last 7, and Eaves is looking at 7 goals in the last 10. Also, Z is riding a 11 game point streak. We’ve had a rare 3 days off at this point in the season, and are coming off a pretty bad loss to Colorado on monday. Last home and home series this season between Det and Col we swept ‘em 2-1 away and then a 4-2 two days later at home. This is an easy 4 points.

While we are doing a whole lot with less, Colombus is doing alot less with more. We are currently missing three damn fine forwards, a solid D-Man, and our veteran goalie, and we are getting by, are you telling me that with one injured winger and an injured goalie that they don’t have sufficient depth to cover that? Rick Nash has only scored 3 goals in their last 14 games, and they are in the midst of a 5 game losing streak. Well Colombus…. get ready to chalk up number 6&7 right here cause were coming for ya.

The lines for fridays game should look like this:
Detroit

Franzen-Zetterberg-Holmstrom
Hudler-Filppula-Bertuzzi
